Photograph on aluminiumFrench artist Stéfanie Bourne joined us in 2010 to investigate what we eat and how it gets to us, the global issue of food mileage and shedding light on the obscurity around carbon emission counting in relation to food.
She developed five food related phases: production, distribution, consumption, administration, and finally, destruction. These stages were encapsulated into a series of images, from which this photograph was taken.
